ScooNews Global Educators Fest 2023: A Journey into the Future of Humanities in the Age of AI

Khamma Ghani! The ScooNews Global Educators Fest (SGEF) 2023, held from August 10th to 12th at the illustrious Clarks Amer in Jaipur, was a remarkable event dedicated to exploring the future of humanities in the age of Artificial Intelligence. This three-day event was a rich tapestry of learning, inspiration, and celebration, leaving attendees with profound insights and memories.

The festival commenced with a morning assembly where educators recited prayers and pledged to approach the LGBTQIA+ community with empathy, respect, and unity. Led by Noor Shekhawat, the first transgender person in Rajasthan to have a Jan Aadhaar card, the pledge underscored the importance of inclusivity and acceptance, setting a compassionate tone for the event.

The day continued with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolising hope and renewal. Esteemed guests, including Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Rama Datt, Devyani Jaipuria, and Ravi Santlani, participated in the unveiling of the ScooNews 7th Anniversary Edition. Ravi Santlani emphasised the magazine’s mission to provide high-quality content and its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Rama Dutt, trustee of the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Trust, delivered a special address, praising the efforts of the ScooNews team and highlighting the importance of sharing best practices. Ravi Santlani’s keynote address focused on the transformative potential of AI in education, urging attendees to embrace technological advancements while maintaining humanity’s core values.

Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar appreciated the festival’s role in bringing together over 700 educators to exchange ideas and enhance their knowledge. His address was followed by a stunning Rubik’s cube portrait created by Delhi Public School, Jaipur students, showcasing creativity and teamwork.

The art exhibition “Kala Ka Karz,” inaugurated by Subodh Kerkar, Founder of the Museum of Goa, and curated by Parinya Santlani, highlighted the endangered art of block printing. This tribute to Rajasthani artisans emphasised the importance of preserving traditional crafts.

The evening concluded with a regal musical gala dinner hosted by Devyani Jaipuria. The event featured the soulful melodies of the Langa Manganiyars from Jaisalmer, traditional stalls, and a lavish cocktail bar, creating an enchanting atmosphere that celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage.

Padma Shri Anand Kumar, renowned mathematician and founder of Super 30, delivered an insightful speech on the potential of AI to replace teachers. His address sparked meaningful discussions on the evolving landscape of education and technology.

The ScooNews Global Education Awards 2023, held at Hotel Clarks Amer, celebrated educational excellence. Presented by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, VP Singh Badnore, and Russell John Cailey, the awards recognized exceptional educators, innovative schools, and groundbreaking startups. This prestigious event highlighted the commitment to redefining and enhancing the learning landscape, inspiring the global education community to pursue continuous innovation and excellence.

The final day of SGEF 2023 was filled with workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions. Educators and thought leaders explored the integration of AI in humanities, fostering a deeper understanding of how technology can enhance learning and creativity.

As the curtains closed on this remarkable event, attendees left with renewed purpose and a wealth of knowledge. The ScooNews Global Educators Fest 2023 was not just a conference but a celebration of the spirit of education, inclusivity, and innovation.
