A learner with a mix of compassion and curiosity, Mahera Goel is an Alumni of the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Master’s in School Leadership and Entrepreneurship and a Mumbai University topper with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education, Her goal is to develop schools as sustainable learning centers and build an effective Principal pipeline that can lead and transform 21st-century classrooms in schools with the greatest needs. She currently leads as the Early and Elementary School Principal at Fazlani
L’Academie in Mumbai, an IB World School. With over two decades of leadership experience, she enjoys her professional roles as the Vice-Chair of the Association for Heads of IB World Schools (West Zone), Member of the SAIBSA Executive Committee, IBEN (IBO Educator Network) Programme Leader, School Inspection and Workshop Leader for the Asia Pacific, having trained and coached over 15000 teaching and leadership team members.
During the pandemic, she was invited into new leadership roles: A Teach SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) Ambassador, Director, Youth Services at Rotary Club SOBO, and Committee Member for the Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women India (ANHW). All three are vibrant and passionate tribes that genuinely believe in selfless service. It reminds one of Ayn Rand’s quote: The question isn’t who is going to let me; it is who is going to stop me." She truly believes that if each of us can do our part to elevate the spirit and determination of youth globally, we can generate significant impact and benefits for our society. She is an eminent speaker at Learning and Leadership Conferences and a recipient of School awards for STEAM, Social Impact, Technology, and Community Outreach. Her professional accolades include being featured among the 99 Women Achievers in India and receiving several leadership awards: Educational Influencer, Transformational Leader, Educator who inspires beyond Motherhood, Acharya Chanakya Award, Meticulous Mentorship as a Leader, Nation Builder, Sanjeevani Seed of Knowledge.
